How do I fulfill my first order?

As a new seller, this article will guide you on how to fulfill your very first order!

The moment a customer places an order, you will receive an email notification via your Lazada-registered email and an app notification (if you have the Seller Center mobile app).

When the order enters your Seller Center, you are given up to 24 hours only to complete the 7 steps to process, pack, and hand-over your order. To avoid order cancellations and eventual deactivation of shop, please follow this 24-hour deadline.



Below is a step-by-step guide in fulfilling your order:


1. Receive Order

The order will appear under the To Pack tab in your Orders Management page.


2. Check fulfillment type.

A store may be assigned either under Pick-up or Drop-off Fulfillment type. Follow the steps below to check your fulfillment type.

a. Go to My Account, and then choose Profile.

b. Go to the Shipping Provider tab.

c. Under Shipment Provider, you will be able to see your Shipping Provider (2nd column) and Type (4th column).

Types of Shipment:

Pick-up: After preparing your order, our pick-up team will arrive in your Warehouse address to pick up your orders.

Drop-off: After preparing your order, you can drop it off at a Drop-Off Point (DOP) near you. You can check our DOP locator below (at number 7).

3. Print documents.

Under the To Pack tab, select the orders that you are ready to fulfill and click Create and print selected orders.

Reminder: Practice the First-In First-Out (FIFO) method in fulfilling your orders to ensure that you meet the deadline for you to ship the order. (Highlighted in pink below)

4. Pick items.

Get the items specified in the picklist from your inventory and conduct a quality check to ensure that the items are working and in good condition.

5. Pack Order

1. Pack the items according to Lazada's packaging guidelines.

Following the provided packaging guidelines will protect your item from any damage during transit.

***Non-compliance results to damaged items in transit, dissatisfied customers, and ineligibility to file claims.

2. Place the sales invoice inside the parcel before you seal it.

Merchants should issue a sales invoice per order in compliance with local laws. You can check this article for more information on why seller should issue a sales invoice.

3. Attach the shipping label (air waybill) to the package.

Reminder: The item indicated in the sales invoice and shipping label and the actual items inside the package SHOULD MATCH. Also, do not cover any part of the shipping label as this is prohibited. Our couriers may not accept packages with tampered shipping labels.

  • If you are using a box, use a document sleeve and stick it on top or on the largest side of the box.

  • If you are using a sticker label, stick it over the clear sleeve (for pouches) or on the largest side of the box (for boxes).

  • If you are using a regular bond paper, place the air waybill properly inside the document sleeve and make sure all bar codes are visible.

  • Do not forget to close or seal the document sleeve but make sure that the tape does not cover the document itself.

⚠️IMPORTANT: One tracking number, one package.⚠️

A single order with multiple items might have different tracking numbers. Orders that generated two different tracking numbers should be packed separately to avoid order cancellations.

6. Arrange Shipment

After printing the required documents, the order in your Seller Center will automatically move from To Pack to To Ship. Click the Arrange Shipment button once you are ready to hand over your package.

For Pick-up Sellers:
This will notify the Pick-up team that you have a package ready for pick-up. Sellers may be penalized when packages are not ready upon arrival of the pick-up team. Learn more about the Package Not Ready policy here.

After clicking Arrange Shipment, there will be a message confirming that the orders are physically ready to be handed over to logistics.

7. Hand Over the Package

The courier assigned to pick-up your package will show in the Seller Center page. Orders with arranged shipment before 12 midnight will be scheduled for pickup within the next business day (Monday-Saturday).

Reminders when Handing Over your Packages

  1. Count the parcels that you need to handover

  2. Ensure successful scanning of parcel before handing it over

  3. Ensure that total number of scanned parcels is equal to the number of parcels recorded in the driver’s scanning device and to the number of actual parcels handed over

  4. Sign the mobile scanning device
