Lazada Community Guidelines
Introduction
Lazada is committed to building a trusted and reliable platform for all of our users. The following Community Guidelines (“Community Guidelines”) should be read in conjunction with Lazada Community Policy (“Community Policy”).
As part of our commitment to ensure a safe and compliant platform for all of our users, we may update our Community Guidelines from time to time in line with new behaviours and risks identified. Any such updates will take effect immediately once they are published on Lazada Platform. It remains your responsibility to review any such changes regularly.
If your Content violates our Content Terms of Service, Community Policy or Community Guidelines, Lazada may take any or all enforcement actions as set out in the Lazada Content Terms of Service and/or Community Policy.
If you see any Content that you think violates these rules, please use the flagging feature to submit it for review by our team.
Unless otherwise defined in the Community Policy and Community Guidelines, all capitalized terms adopted herein shall bear the same meaning as set out in Lazada Content Terms of Service.
Community Guidelines
The Community Guidelines apply to all Users and all types of Content (including videos, video descriptions, comments, livestreams and any other Services, Tools or feature made available on Lazada Platform).
How to read the Community Guidelines?
The Community Guidelines form part of the Community Policy, the latter of which sets out the rules of conduct when accessing or using Lazada Platform and the Services, as well as the relevant enforcement actions that may be taken by Lazada for violation of such rules.
The Community Guidelines are intended to provide users with information on the Contents that are prohibited under each of the following categories of rules specified in the Community Policy.

Keep in mind that the descriptions provided in the below Community Guidelines are not an exhaustive list.
Respectful Engagement
Lazada does not allow the posting of any egregious Content which may include any image, video, comment, or phrase that is:
Socially unacceptable;
Offensive to an individual, organization, religion, government; and/or
Polarizing in nature (divides people).
Bullying & Harassment
Lazada does not allow attacks or threats targeting any individuals, stores or people depicted in the image/video, or other Users on the Lazada Platform through the use of abusive language or slang terms with the intention to mock, insult, or humiliate others in any kind of formats (e.g. text, image, video, livestream, emoji, etc).
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any attack, insult or dehumanizing statement towards another individual based on physical appearance, personality traits, intellect, mental, moral, or disability characteristics.
Any Content that contains expression of contempt, disgust, ridicule or further degrades victims being bullied or undesired content manipulation towards other Users’ images or videos.
Any Content that encourages or coordinates bullying and harassment activity.
Any harassment of repeatedly sending undesired messages toward other Users or sexualizing or insulting other Users by using inappropriate language.
Any Content that suggests stalking or harassment of any individual.
Hate Speech
Lazada does not allow attacks, threats, or otherwise violence against certain individuals or groups of people based on protected features, such as race, ethnicity, nationality, gender or gender identity, disability, religion, sexual orientation, age, etc. by using abusive language or slang terms with the intention to mock, insult, or humiliate others in any kind of formats (text, image, video, livestream, emoji, etc.).
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any violent speech based on the protected features of other Users or in a general statement.
Any attack based on the protected features of others or in a general statement which implies, suggests or promotes hateful comments or ideology, ridicule, discrimination, or hostility, on any individual on the basis of their physical appearance, personality traits, intellect, mental, moral, or disability characteristics.
Any attack based on the protected features of others or in a general statement in the way of expression of contempt, disgust, or exclusion statement.
Any usage of slur or derogatory terms to degrade or attack groups or individuals based on the protected features or in a general statement.
Obscenity & Inappropriacy
Lazada does not allow Users to share images or videos that present obscenity and inappropriate Content of individuals, either explicitly or implicitly. We strictly prohibit nudity, pornography or sexually explicit Content (whether consensual or not) on Lazada Platform.
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any Content that contains nudity, including (without limitation) images or videos of visible genitals, anus, uncovered female nipples, pubic hair, including the area of the groin, the outline of genitals, etc. that can be seen directly or via see-through materials.
Any Content that explicitly or implicitly depicts sexual activity, including Content showing penetrative and non-penetrative sex, oral sex, masturbation, sexual arousal, sex positions, fetish scenarios, usage of sex toys, sexual activity discharge etc.
Any Content that focuses on nearly nude or assumed-to-be-nude commonly sexualized body parts, including female breast, cleavage, buttocks, etc. with or without censorship.
Sexual Solicitation & Sexual Exploitation
Lazada does not allow Users to share Contents that enable other Users to engage in sexual-related activities or pornographic materials on or through Lazada Platform in any kind of formats (text, image, video, livestream, emoji, etc.).
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any Content that offers or asks for sexual activity, sexual partner, sexual chats, nude photos, nude videos, or used items for fetish purposes with or without compensation.
Any Content that coordinates sexual events or recruits sexual service providers.
Any Content that offers, asks for, depicts, promotes, or threatens the sharing of non-consensual sexual acts, including non-consensual touching, rape, and sexual assault (including, without limitation, sharing of revenge porn or images that are taken, created or shared without consent).
Any Content that shares secretly taken images or videos that focus on commonly sexualized body parts (such as creepshot).
Any Content that contains porn materials or pornographic novels or sexually explicit language.
Graphic Violence & Abuse
Lazada does not allow Users to share images or videos that offers, asks for, depicts, or promotes extreme violence or graphic event, including (without limitation) violent tragedies or accidents involving death or accidents, open wounds, or serious injuries to human beings or animals in any kind of formats (text, image, video, livestream, emoji, etc.).
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any image or video that contains a dead body or open wound of a human being or animal.
Any image or video that contains abuse, torture, fighting, or violence against human beings or animals.
Any image or video that depicts a violent accident that will cause death or serious injury to human beings or animals.
Any Content that humiliates or makes fun of victims of cruelty.
Suicide & Self-Harm
Lazada does not allow Users to share images, videos, or statements that depict, promote, engage in, or provide instruction on suicide, self-harm, or eating disorder activity in any kind of formats (text, image, video, livestream, emoji, etc.).
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any images or videos that depicts or promotes suicide, self-harm, or eating disorder activity.
Any statement that intends to engage in suicide, self-harm, or eating disorder activity.
Any statement that promotes or encourages others to engage in suicide, self-harm, or eating disorder activity.
Any social media challenges or games that relate to suicide, self-harm, or eating disorder activity.
Content that encourages or supports the dangerous misuse of any products.
Data Protection
Lazada does not allow the posting of any image, video, comment, or phrase that:
Collects or uses unauthorized data;
Involves the trading of all kinds of account information; and/or
Incites, threatens to or encourages others to access, reveal or share personal data of others.
Spam & Phishing
Lazada does not allow Users to share Contents that are unwanted and unsolicited or intend to collect or use other Users' data without permission or without clear notification.
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any Content generated by robots and shared across the platform in high frequency.
Any Content that directs the Users to a substantially unrelated destination.
Any Content that links Users to suspicious URLs and asks Users to log in before being directed to the relevant content.
Any Content intended to cause disturbance or drown out other Users’ Content.
Cybersecurity
Lazada does not allow Users to share, trade, or exchange any kind of personal online account information, including but not limited to Lazada accounts, in any kind of format (text, image, video, livestream, emoji, etc.).
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any Content that shares account login credentials.
Any Content that offers or asks for account login credentials.
Any Content that assists in account ownership transition.
Any Content that contains software viruses, malware or other harmful codes.
Private Information
Lazada does not allow Users to share, trade, or exchange any kind of personal identity in any kind of formats (text, image, video, livestream, emoji, etc.).
Do not post, upload, comment, or share: (including but not limited to)
Any Content that shares information that will be able to identify an individual.
Any Content that offers or asks for information that will be able to identify an individual.
Any Content that provides instructions to obtain personal identity without permission or consent (such as hacking).
Safety and Compliance
Lazada does not allow the posting of any image, video, comment, or phrase that:
Threatens to or causes physical harm to users, animals, or properties;
Sells or promotes illegal or inauthentic products;
Shares unauthorized content; or
Promotes vice activities, organized crime, unlawful gambling, money-lending or cheating.
Violence Incitement & Coordination
Lazada does not allow violence or incitement of violence in any kind of statement or threats against people, animals, properties or public safety, and we strictly prohibit any admission, promotion, or coordination of violent crime in any kind of formats (text, image, video, Livestream, emoji, etc.).
Do not post, upload comment, or share:
Any statement or threats to cause death of people or animals.
Any statement or threats to cause harm to people or animals or damage to properties.
Any statement that admits, promotes, or coordinates criminal activity or illegal behavior, including encouraging other people to commit violence.
Prohibited & Controlled Goods
Lazada does not allow Users to share Contents that intend to trade, exchange, or giveaway items that are prohibited and controlled by the regulations. For more information, please refer to our Prohibited and Controlled (“P&C”) Product List.
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any Content that offers or asks for P&C products.
Any Content that provides access to P&C products.
Intellectual Property Rights & Content Infringement
Lazada does not allow Users to share Contents that are not authentic, unauthorized, or without permission from the brand or rights owner. For more information, please refer to our Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy.
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any Content that offers or asks for inauthentic images, videos, audio, products, etc.
Any Content that provides access to inauthentic images, videos, audio, products, etc.
Any Content that provides instructions to obtain unauthorized images, videos, audio, products, etc.
Any Content that violates or infringes someone’s copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
Fraudulent Activity
Lazada does not allow Users to share Contents that will cause operational disruptions, reputational or financial harm, whether directly or indirectly, to others in any kind of formats (text, image, video, livestream, emoji, etc.). For more information, please refer to our Fair Trading Policy.
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any Content that offers fraudulent goods, services, schemes, or promotions.
Any Content that educates or instructs others to misuse Lazada Platform features, Tools or Services.
Any Content that contains personal contact information of others that encourages transactions or communications outside of Lazada Platform.
Any Content that suggests false lucky draws or winning information.
Any Content intended to mislead Users into believing it is an official Lazada message.
Social Responsibility
Lazada does not allow the posting of any image, video, comment, or phrase that:
Is manipulated or shares fake news, deep fakes, or misinformation;
Overclaims and misleads users’ expectation; and/or
Affects Lazada’s position as a neutral platform.
Misinformation
Lazada does not allow Users to share false, misleading, or overclaimed information or to manipulate the media to mislead others in any manner, whether intended or not.
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any Content that provides false information that may cause harm to other Users.
Any Content that provides overclaimed information that may mislead other Users into unexpected scenarios.
Any Content that is manipulated, fake information, fake identities in order to confuse others.
Terrorist Organization & Dangerous Individual
Lazada does not allow Users to share or support any terrorist organizations or dangerous individuals in any kind of formats (text, image, video, livestream, emoji, etc.).
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any Content that mentions, supports, or represents terrorist organizations or dangerous individuals, including (without limitation) names, symbols, logos, flags, portraits, etc. with non-negative context.
Any Content that coordinates, recruits, or engages in terrorist events or copycat behaviors that may cause harm to other users.
Government & Political
Lazada does not allow Users to share Contents that are politically sensitive in any kind of formats (text, image, video, livestream, emoji, etc.).
Do not post, upload, comment, or share:
Any Content that contains extreme or emotional language on government and political topics.
Any Content directly or indirectly supporting violation of law or morals or conducive to cultural depreciation of the nation.
Minor Protection
Minor Protection is intended to prevent any Content that engages minor as a target being attacked or abused under the above-defined scope. Lazada defines a minor as any individual below the legal age as determined by the applicable laws of the country in which you are accessing and/or using Lazada Platform, and we provide additional protection for them. If there is any violation involving minors under the Respectful Engagement and Safety & Compliance rules, Lazada will take immediate action and we may file a report to the law enforcement agencies for further investigation and action as and when required.
