Overview of Prohibited and Controlled Products Policy
The objective of this policy is to build the trust and confidence in our buyers when they shop on Lazada.
Below, we have listed some categories of prohibited or restricted items. However, this list is not exhaustive; as a seller, you are responsible for ensuring that you are not posting any item that is prohibited by law in your jurisdiction.
You may not post or sell any item that is restricted or prohibited by a federal, state or local law in your country or jurisdiction. As such, any relevant products currently unregistered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the Philippines is also prohibited from being sold on the platform. You may refer to the following link for a list of advisories from the FDA regarding prohibited goods.
If you are not sure if an item you are intending to list can be sold on Lazada, please refer to Prohibited and Controlled Products List below for more information.
Any breach of the Prohibited and Controlled Products Policy may result in the removal of your product listing and/or issuance of non-compliance points. Lazada shall remove product listings, issue non-compliance points or take other any action that it deems necessary at its sole and absolute discretion.
It is important to note that a seller will face account deactivation once he accumulates 48 non-compliance points or more. Depending on the severity, under some circumstances, Lazada may make the decision to deactivate seller accounts immediately even if the seller has not accumulated the maximum number of non-compliance points. Prohibited and Controlled Products List
The following list are products that are prohibited from being sold in the Lazada Platform or controlled on how it is sold, displayed, or listed in the Platform. Violations of this Policy can result in the violating products being locked, the seller receiving up to 48 points, and the seller facing deactivation.
Various products that are allowed to be sold in Lazada might be considered obscene in the way it is presented. To prevent this and to ensure that product listings remain professional and decent, the Obscenity Guideline needs to be followed. Visual Guidelines can be found here.
Any seller identified to have violated Obscenity Guidelines will be issued up to 2 points per product.

The Obscenity Guideline applies to all listings that include human, human-like, or non-human objects (e.g. mannequins, books, cushions and other paraphernalia) in the product itself, description, or media.
Adult Material as listed below must follow the Guidelines to be sold or posted in Lazada Philippines. For products that are allowed under this policy, sellers must explicitly note within the listing that the product is only to be purchased and used by individuals above 18 years of age. Sellers who are seen to promote use of product to minor will be penalized.
Any seller, selling Adult Material, identified to have violated the below-mentioned rules will be issued up to 48 points per product.

19. Other Provisions and Supplementary Policies to the Philippine Market:
Sellers who violate the below provisions may receive up to 48 Non-Compliance Points depending on the severity. Sellers who intentionally violate this provision and pose a serious threat to buyers may face deactivation.
Promotional Samples: The sale of products that were originally distributed as promotional samples and are explicitly labelled as "Not for Sale" is strictly prohibited on the platform.
Documents Related to Covid-19: The printing of documents related to the Covid-19 pandemic (such as but not limited to: Vaccination IDs, test results, travel passes, etc.) is strictly prohibited from the platform.
Used / Refurbished / Pre-Loved Products: Used, second-hand, pre-loved items are marked as CONTROLLED products on the platform. You may refer to the following Pre-Loved Assortment Policy article.
Recalled Goods: Products recalled by the manufacturer or regulatory authorities due to quality issues must not be sold on the platform.
Children and Baby Products, Toys, etc.: Bottles containing BHA are prohibited. Toys must also confirm to the safety standard prescribed by the DOH, DTI, and FDA.
Milk Products: Milk products and other related items sold and marketed on the platform must abide by E.O. 51, also known as Milk Code of the Philippines. Additionally, milk formula products sold on the platform must have a shelf-life of at least 6 months from its expiry date.
Telecommunication Equipment: Telecommunication equipment are prohibited if it does not have the necessary type approval, certification, and passing required equipment testing of the National Telecommunication Commission.
Chainsaws: The Chainsaw Act of 2002 regulates the sale of chainsaws in the Philippines. Only verified sellers may sell chainsaws on the platform.
Optical Media Board: Sellers who plan to sell or are already selling the products below must file registration with the Optical Media Board of the Philippines before engaging in trade in the Lazada Philippines platform. Ex.
