Seller Origins: Kilalanin ang successful Lazada seller and hands-on mom, Jennyfer Mayordo!

"Honestly talaga, napakalaking tulong (ng Lazada) sa pamilya ko. Dati hindi mo alam kung saan kukunin ang gatas, ang diaper. Ngayon every week, meron kaming maaasahan."

 In early 2018, isa sa mga hinarap na problema ni Jennyfer ay tungkol sa household budget ng kaniyang pamilya. Manganganak na siya sa taong iyon at sapat lamang ang income ng kanyang asawa to support their family of four. Nagtrabaho siya bilang isang English teacher at ang kanyang asawa naman ay isang computer technician. Kinailangan nila ng ibang source of income to para masuportahan ang kanilang lumalaking pamilya.

Maliban doon, naninirahin din sila sa kanilang in-laws. “I’m thankful that they let us stay here, but wouldn’t it be better if we had our own house?”  Her dream was to be able to afford their own place as a family.

The start of her Lazada journey

“Nag-bbrowse ako sa computer and then nakita ko yung post dun na nakalagay Be a Seller on Lazada.”, she said.

 Dito nagsimula ang J8’s Trading. Nagsimula sila sa limang product lang with a weekly sale of about Php 10,000. They started with LCD screen as their main product then nagsimula na din silang mag-venture sa  computer accessories. They later on included stuffed toys dahil kinahiligan ito ng kanyang mga anak.

Since starting their Lazada store, Jennyfer says that their store has been a massive help for their family, especially during the 9.9, 11.11, and 12.12 campaigns.

Of course, managing the store while teaching and caring for kids is a challenge. “We don’t have any household help,” says Jennyfer, “so we really have to work together.” Sa umaga, si Jennyfer ang nag-pprint at nag-ppack ng orders while preparing breakfast for the family. Her husband then takes them to a drop off center. She goes to work at twelve noon. Sometimes, when her husband isn’t available, she drops them off herself. “Even the kids help out,” she says. “My ten-year-old knows how to print, pick, and pack.”

Lazada as her winning choice

When asked kung bakit Lazada ang kanyang preferred plaform, she answered, "May tiwala kami sa Lazada ksi nandiyan yung stability niya. Then bukod sa income, may savings pa kami. Nung ako ay nag-aaral, hindi kami talaga makalabas, hindi kami makapag-mall. Ngayon, kapag may pay-out, nalilibre ko ang mga anak ko. Nabibigay ko ang kanilang mga gusto. Napakasaya sa feeling na kaya kong magbigay sa mga anak ko, nakapa-overwhelming and thankful kay God at sa platform ni Lazada." 

J8’s trading is now earning Php 50,000 per week – a big blessing indeed para kay Jennyfer at sa kanyang pamilya.
