Overview of Policy

All sellers who participate in Lazada campaigns are required to adhere to our Campaign Policy, as well as comply with all existing Seller Policies. The Campaign Policy applies to all campaigns hosted by Lazada, such as (but not limited to): Mega Campaigns (e.g. Birthday Campaign, Mid-Year Festival, 9.9, 11.11, 12.12), Flash Sales, Slash It, Pre-Sale etc.

During the relevant campaign period, as defined by Lazada from time to time ("Campaign Period"), all sellers are advised to embrace the spirit of campaigns and adhere to all existing policies.

Any seller(s) who are found to be in breach of any of our existing policies may be subject to the issuance of non-compliance points and/or removal of product listing from campaign. For more information on non-compliance points, please refer to Non-Compliance Points.

Price Guarantee

Sellers are not allowed to offer misleading discounts during the Campaign Period that they participate in. Misleading discount refers to situations where sellers intentionally increase the original selling price of a product just before the campaign or promotion to exaggerate the value of discount.

Sellers who submit deals to Treasure Bowl will take part in the Lowest Price Commitment. The Lowest Price Commitment requires that all deals submitted by Sellers must be at their lowest onsite price within the last 90 calendar days.

Sellers who submit deals must also ensure that they fulfill their orders at the price listed. This is to minimize the chances of cancelling the order due to wrong pricing, which will have negative impact on buyer experience.

What happens when a seller is found to have breached this policy?

Any seller found to be in breach of this Price Guarantee Policy may have the infringing product listing removed from the campaign pool of products, or deactivated and/or be issued up to 2 non-compliance points at Lazada’s discretion.

Cancellation due to wrong pricing will be reflected in seller’s performance, under Seller Fault Cancellation Rate, and may impact the seller’s eligibility for entry into the next campaign.

Sellers who fail to fulfill their orders and results in seller-fault cancellation must also issue store vouchers (equivalent to the discount/price difference of the order) to the customers affected; in certain instances, Lazada may issue it on behalf of the seller and charge the cost back to the seller. Sellers who fail to comply may have their store temporarily deactivated.

Sellers who fail to fulfill campaign orders linked to Price Slash or other promos where the buyer has to work in order to receive the deal can face additional penalties:

- Seller will receive up to 6 Non-Compliance Points (instead of 2) per incident,

- Seller will be ineligible to join any related campaign for the next 2 months

Stock Guarantee

Sellers who participate in Lazada campaigns must always make sure they report accurate stock levels. This is to minimize the chances of order cancellations by seller due to out of stock, which will have negative impact on buyer experience.

What happens when a seller is found to have breached this policy?

Any seller found to be in breach of this Stock Guarantee Policy may be issued up to 2 non-compliance points. Seller Fault Cancellation will be reflected in seller’s performance and may impact the seller’s eligibility for entry into the next campaign.

Sellers who fail to fulfill their orders and results in seller-fault cancellation must also issue store vouchers (equivalent to the discount/price difference of the order) to the customers affected; in certain instances, Lazada may issue it on behalf of the seller and charge the cost back to the seller. Sellers who fail to comply may have their store temporarily deactivated.

Authenticity Guarantee

Lazada’s Intellectual Property Rights Policy applies to all items listed and sold on the platform. All products must be authentic and sold on the platform in compliance with Intellectual Property rights.

What happens when a seller is found to have breached this policy?

Any seller who is found to be in breach of the Intellectual Property Rights Policy may be issued up to 16 non-compliance points.

Campaign Best Practices

Sellers are to observe and abide by the Fair Trading Policy as part of our commitment to preserve the confidence and trust of shoppers on our platform. Lazada’s Fair Trading Policy applies.

Sellers are to observe and abide by the fair trading rules as part of our commitment to preserve the confidence and trust of shoppers on our platform.

This includes but are not limited to the following:

1.Abiding by Lazada marketing campaign rules such as decorating the store according to the relevant campaign

2.Mobilizing necessary resources to ensure that campaign volumes can be supported

3.Embracing healthy competition

4.Not engaging in malicious behavior such as:

a.changing the product image and/or description which is different from the original product submitted

b.sending of products to customers which are different to what is listed on the Product Display Page (PDP)

Lazada’s Fair Trading Policy and Anti-Competitive Behavior Rules apply.

What happens when a seller is found to have breached this policy?

Any seller found to be in breach of this policy may have the infringing product listing removed from the campaign pool of products, or locked and/or be issued up to 2 non-compliance points at Lazada’s discretion.

For severe cases, sellers may be punished under breach of the Fair Trading Policy.

Seller Entry Requirements for Campaign

Sellers who wish to participate in Lazada’s campaigns are subject to entry requirements, such as (but not limited to): seller rating, previous campaign performance and daily operation performance. Each campaign may have different entry requirements.

For sellers who are eligible for a specific campaign, they will see their invitation in the [1] ‘Available Campaign’ table and can select [2] ‘Join’ for further instructions.

Conversely, sellers who are ineligible can see why they were unable to participate in the campaign by checking the [3] ‘Ineligible Campaign’ tab and selecting [4] ‘Reasons for ineligibility’.

The following is an example of ‘reasons for ineligibility’:

Note: The performance cut off time for campaign eligibility is the last day of campaign registration. ‘Your performance as of today’ reflects real-time seller performance and is ONLY for ease of performance tracking. If seller performance has improved within the campaign registration period and reach the set criteria, sellers will be eligible for the campaign and may be able to participate in the campaign.

LazCoins Promotion Policy

Definition of LazCoins Promotion Policy?

Sellers should avoid cancelling or turning off the products that are submitted under LazCoins promotions. Customers collect LazCoins and redeem products which are (a) free or (b) discounted. Cancelling or turning off these products redeemed from LazCoins will result in very bad customer experience as they will not receive the promoted product, even though they will have their LazCoins refunded to them.

What happens when a seller is found to have breached this policy?

Any seller found to have breached the LazCoins Promotion Policy may be issued up to 6 non-compliance points and/or be barred from joining similar promotions.
