How do I add a new product/SKU?

I. What you need to start listing products

A product page is where customers find all the relevant information about a product. When building the product page, it is important that it answers potential questions about the product to help your customer make an informed decision before they purchase.

Make sure you have all the information below ready:

III. Step-by-step Guide (using Desktop)

a. Single Product Upload

1. Log in to your Seller Center account. Then, click Products > Add Products


2. Fill the product title in the Product Name field

3. Select the correct category based on Category Suggestions. You can also select manually from Category field

4. Fill the Brand field under Product Attributes. We also recommend you to fill ‘KEY’ attributes

5. Add your product Highlights in bullet-points format. The highlight should inform your product key-selling points

6. Explain the details of your product in Long Description. We recommend you to add a minimum of 50 words and a minimum of 1 image. If you are using Text Editor mode, don’t forget to click Apply after filling the Long Description

7. What’s in the Box should inform customers what they will get upon receiving the item, such as accessories, headset, or product only. Recommended format: 1 x <item name>


8. Choose the Variation of your product. For example, size & color

9. In some categories, the Image upload box is available after selecting the product color. We recommend you to upload minimum 3 images per color

10. Set the item information such as Price, Quantity, and Special Price if any. You may fill Seller SKU or just leave it blank.

11. The last step, don’t forget to set the accurate Package Dimension (in cm) and Package Weight (in kg). This is important because it affects the shipping fee calculation.

Once it’s all done, click Submit

b. Batch Product Upload (Uploading multiple products)

1. In your Seller Center, click on Products > Manage Products

2. Click on Import.

3. Download the Product Creation Template depending on the category of the items you want to upload.

4. In the downloaded file, fill-in the mandatory attributes in the template. For a step-by-step guide, click HERE and view Slides 7 to 11.

5. Click Upload Files and select the accomplished template.

6. View the status of your uploaded file. In the event that you encounter an error, click Download Error Report to know the issue.

1. Open Seller Center App and go to "Add Products"

2. Fill out the Product Name and Category

As you type in Product Name, Category Suggestions will pop out with recommendations based on keywords in your product name. You need to choose a category to list your product. You can either choose among one of the category suggestions or click on “Category” to navigate the category tree.

3. Fill out Product Details
Select the Brand and Model of your item (if brand is not added yet, you can request to add it by clicking "Create Brand")

In the default view, you will only see mandatory attributes in this section such as Brand, Short Description (should input at least 3 product highlights), Video URL and etc. Click on “More Product Details” to see the full list of attributes and fill in more attributes to improve your product searchability. This contains more descriptive attributes of the product such (i.e.g Dress Type, Collar Type, Pattern, Clothing Material, Dress Length, Season and etc.)


4. Fill out the basic information
Fill out the remaining fields such as Video URL, Warranty Details, Return Policy, What's in the box, Package Dimension and etc.

5. Fill out Variations
Select item color, upload images, create color and size variations

Color
  1. Select the Color of the item then click "Save"

  2. Upload images from your gallery then click "Save"




Size
  1. Choose the Size Origin that your products are using such as EU, UK, US, etc.

  2. Choose size value that is applicable for your products. You will only see size values that are relevant to the Size Origin you chose.

  3. Click "Save"


6. Fill out the remaining required fields
Seller SKU, Quantity, Price

Once finished creating variations, you will see SKUs (Color and Size) generated based on your selection of sizes and colors. For example if you choose 2 colors and 3 sizes, there will be 6 SKUs generated in the SKU table. Click the arrow down button to show the other fields that you need to fill in. You can click the "Copy the last SKU information" to copy the information you inputted on the last SKU.

7. Click "Submit".
A message will appear once product/SKU has been successfully created.

Note: Time frame for QC for new SKU/product is within 2 business days.

V. Important Reminders for Uploading Products

  • In assigning a category to your product, put it in the deepest category to increase searchability.

  • Put in as much product attributes as possible to lessen customer inquiries. Also, products with complete attributes are likely to be found 2x higher than products with incomplete details.

  • Upload unique photos of your product.

  • Make sure to input the correct product and package dimension as this will also determine the shipping fee.

  • Upload at least 3 products or SKUs. This will help you qualify to use Seller Picks - a tool that will help you increase your visibility in Lazada.
